At Conversion Marketing, we believe digital marketing can be a force for good. This June, we are proud to support Bowel Cancer New Zealand’s 2025 Awareness Month. This important campaign aims to educate Kiwis about bowel cancer symptoms. It also highlights the life-saving importance of early detection.
Strategic Media in Action
To maximise awareness across Aotearoa, we developed a fully integrated media strategy designed to meet audiences where they are. Our campaign leverages a mix of high-impact media placements, including:
- Radio partnerships across MediaWorks and Mai FM
- Podcast and programmatic display advertising
- Premium digital out-of-home (DOOH) billboards through Lumo and JCDecaux
- Audio integration on Spotify
- Targeted campaigns across Meta platforms (Facebook & Instagram)
“Our approach mixes smart media planning with strong creative work. This helps ensure important information reaches a wide range of New Zealanders,” says Amanda Bradley, our Social Media and Campaign Lead.
Insightful Creative with a Human Touch
We worked with Bowel Cancer NZ’s communications team to create messaging to effectively connect with the public. Our goal was to balance empathy and urgency. Every creative element reinforces the organisation’s mission: to educate, inform, and ultimately save lives through early action.
Why This Matters: The Statistics Speak Volumes
Bowel cancer is the second-deadliest cancer in New Zealand. About 3,000 Kiwis are diagnosed each year, and 1,200 people die from it. Even more concerning is the 4% annual rise in early-onset cases among people under 50. Yet, when detected early, over 90% of bowel cancer cases are treatable.
This campaign is about more than just raising awareness. It aims to encourage action, especially among younger people who may not see themselves as at risk.
Marketing That Makes A Difference
We are proud to share our knowledge for a cause that helps the health and well-being of our communities. We combine data-driven media planning with purpose-led creative. Our goal is to raise awareness and inspire more New Zealanders. We want them to take control of their health through early screening and recognising symptoms.
